To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we have laid out some essential rules for our community to follow and adhere to:
Be Respectful and Considerate
When engaging with fellow members on the site, treat them with compassion and respect. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive language.
No Spam or Scams
Avoid posting spam content or attempting to scam other users. Report any suspicious activity to the CuddleShare team. You have the right to ‘Report’ any user to us that breaks this rule.
Review Profiles
Ensure you are consistently reviewing profiles of the individual(s) you are communicating with on CuddleShare. This includes looking at reviews from other members in the community on the buyer or the seller, view their listings, and any other comments that may be provided.
Fair Pricing
Buyers please compare prices before buying an item. We will work to provide comparison tools through our advanced AI technology on similar items however, please do your due diligence. Do not agree to additional payments for postage or other previously unlisted charges from the seller after the transaction is complete.
Recalled Items
It is illegal to sell recalled items. If you are unsure whether the item you are buying or selling has been recalled, research the website of the item’s manufacturer. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of the items you are selling or buying.
Honest Listings
Please provide accurate descriptions and clear photos of items that you are listing. Honesty and transparency, helps to build trust within our community and create a safe space for members.
However, if you come across or encounter any signs of suspicious activity, immediately withdraw from the transaction, report the listing or individual, and inform the local authorities, if required.
Effective Communication
Check your messages regularly to ensure you are staying up to date with interested parties or ensuring that questions or concerns are resolved.
In the near future, Cuddleshare will be incorporating an AI feature to help sellers stay actively in contact with interested parties.
Avoid communicating with buyers or sellers privately outside of CuddleShare. Retaining a record of your conversations will be useful in case there is an issue with the purchase or payment later.
Safety First
If you are meeting someone in person for transaction, we suggest meeting in a safe environment or in public spaces. We encourage sharing your meeting plan with a trusted family member or friend to ensure your safety and well-being. We also recommend adhering to your local health and safety guidelines.
If you end up posting your item – please keep hold of the proof of postage in case something goes wrong in shipment. Additionally, ensure all payment arrangements are organized and confirmed before shipment.

Respect Privacy & Data
Do not share personal information without consent. Communicate through CuddleShare’s contact page for privacy and security.
- Do not share your credit card, debit card, or gift card details for payment to someone you are not familiar with and avoid sales or transaction which require you to pay specifically with gift cards.
- Don’t buy gift cards on CuddleShare.
- Please do not share any financial information (login or password) e.g. for your bank account, PayPal) or other unnecessary personal information with buyers or sellers.
- If you come across messages or emails asking you to provide account information, such as your email address and password or unusual links do not respond to these. CuddleShare will never ask you for your password. If you feel your account has been compromised, either report it to us or change your password immediately.
- If you sell any electronics, ensure that personal information has been completely deleted from the device.
Counterfeit items
It is illegal to sell counterfeit items in most countries and counterfeits aren’t allowed on CuddleShare. We encourage you to review any items that you buy to make sure they’re genuine.
Counterfeit Goods Law UK – Trading Standards looks into criminal activity and prosecute sellers and traders who break the law. You’re not legally obliged to report someone selling fake goods, but it might stop other people accidentally buying fakes from them in future.
